Coral Seco, LMHC

Coral Seco is a licensed mental health counselor based in South Miami, Florida. A native Miamian, she prides herself in her Carribean roots and multicultural background. Born in Puerto Rico, she moved to Miami at the age of 3 and through her life journey she found purpose in helping others through their issues. She attended Florida International University, where she majored in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. She then went on to work at a very regarded eating disorder program. This was a transformative experience that shaped her understanding of the complexities of eating disorders, trauma and the multifaceted nature of recovery and mental health. This opportunity allowed her to gain invaluable knowledge and hands-on experience across various levels of care, from intensive inpatient settings to outpatient support.

Coral holds a Masters degree in Psychology with an emphasis  in Mental Health Counseling from Albizu University. With her knowledge and variety in clinical background she has become certified in EMDR & is an EMDRIA approved provider. She has most recently completed her Phase 2 in Brainspotting and is in the process of becoming certified in it and expanding her practice. The next service that will be added to at her practice is Ketamine assisted therapy. She is currently in the process of being credentialed.

With over 15 years of dedicated experience in the field of trauma therapy, Coral has made it her mission in life to transform lives through compassionate and effective therapeutic practices.

Over the past decade, Coral has collaborated on several news articles, given presentations at schools for students and their parents, has served as a guest on podcasts and thoroughly enjoys recording videos where she can share information with others to help them cope through difficult moments.

At the heart of Coral’s practice is a holistic perspective. She recognizes that trauma affects not just the mind, but also the body and spirit. This integrative approach ensures that her clients are supported on all levels, promoting not only recovery from traumatic experiences but also overall well-being. By incorporating mindfulness practices, self-compassion techniques, and somatic interventions, she guides clients on a transformative journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Coral is a mother of 2 boys Tommy & Dylan, and is married to her husband Alex. On her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, meditating and going to the beach. She also enjoys expanding her understanding of crystals and astrology.
